What is Meditation?
Meditation is a technology that benefits your body, mind and spirit. Through inner exploration, meditation awakens our un-constricted consciousness leading to states of natural emotional and physical healing where stress, unhappiness, and emotional turbulence are effortlessly transformed to states of inner tranquility and self-empowerment. Millions of individuals throughout the world have started or attempted a regular meditation practice, but ultimately abandoned it as life’s pressing issues and time constraints took over.
Primordial Sound Meditation is a meditation technique derived from the ancient yoga traditions of India revived by Chopra Center co-founders Deepak Chopra & David Simon. Primordial Sound Meditation is not about forcing your mind to be quiet; rather it’s a process to rediscover the quietness that is ever present. Through personal instruction and group practice you will be taught a very accessible meditation technique which is easily translated into your daily life – (and we’ll teach you how to do that as well). You will receive a unique mantra (a vibration based on the sound of the universe at the moment of your birth) that will disconnect you from the thoughts in your mind, the sounds in the environment, and the sensations in your body.
For the millions around the world who have experienced meditation and the tens of thousands practicing Primordial Sound Meditation, it continues to demonstrate a reduction in stress, anxiety, emotional turbulence, chronic pain, depression, insomnia and confusion within only a few days. The results are a calmer, more relaxed, happier, more centered, and more fulfilled you.
Kay, a Chopra Center certified Vedic Master, will offer Primordial Sound Meditation instruction in both individual and group sessions beginning in April 2007.

“We are used to thinking of ourselves as human beings who have occasional spiritual experiences when, in fact, we are actually spiritual beings having an occasional human experience.”
